Information for Parents
To be considered successful, education must take the form of a partnership- often several partnerships. When we are in the classroom, this usually takes the form of listening, discussing, agreeing (maybe disagreeing!) and working towards achieving goals at the end of the lesson/day/week/term/year.
However, in this current lockdown period, there is a new dimension to this partnership as parents play a more hands on role in the process. Whether you are sitting with your child in Junior Infants following the ups and downs of Seesaw, encouraging a Second Class pupil to stay on their writing task or providing a workspace and device for your Sixth Class offspring, you are playing a crucial part in your child's education journey at this very moment.
When we talk about school community, we include all those who have played a part in the life of the school- this is your time in the centre stage for your child's learning and we thank you for working together with us to help your child develop. Your importance in this role has never been as valuable to both our school and your child, we know it's not easy- we're all united on that front. This page contains some images which we hope you may find useful in creating an environment at home which promotes a positive atmosphere for both you and your family. You're doing a great job- keep it up!
